Directions issued to Complete Civil and Electrical Works Soon
Chandigarh, July 15 –
Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta said that flights from Ambala Airport will commence from August 15 and the directions have been issued to the officers concerned to complete civil and electrical works, including the boundary wall, parking area, main building, entrance road, canteen, and water tank, before August 15.
The Haryana Civil Aviation Minister was chairing a review meeting held in Chandigarh with officers of the Civil Aviation, Power, Public Works (Buildings & Roads), and Fire Service Departments.
Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta stated that the runway at Ambala Air Force Station will be used for the take-off and landing of aircraft at Ambala Airport. This airport will benefit travellers from Haryana as well as neighbouring states like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh, will be able to avail the flight services to various cities. He further shared that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will soon be signed between the airlines and the Haryana government for flight operations under RCS-UDAN.
Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Advisor and Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi, Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, Dr. Saket Kumar, Director General, Haryana Fire Service, Sh. Manish Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner, Ambala, Dr. Shaleen, and officers from the Air Force, Army, and other departments also remained present on this occasion.
