Over 100,000 jobs to be created in Hisar by Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, Civil Aviation Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta

Chandigarh, July 9-

Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta said that that a detailed work plan has been prepared for the development of an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC). This cluster is expected to generate over 125,000 jobs in Hisar and attract investments worth thousands of crores. A total of 2988 acres of land has been identified for this project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 4694.46 crores.

Sharing more  details on the multimodal infrastructure of the IMC, Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Gupta said  that the nearby DFC stations include Ambala (208 km east), Rewari (156 km west), and logistics hubs/dry ports like ICD Kapashera (182 km), IMLH Nangal Chaudhary (189 km), and Kandla Sea Port (1055 km).

Elaborating on the proposed master plan, Dr. Gupta shared  that in Phase 1, out of a total of 1605 acres, 980.20 acres (61 percent) will be used for industry and logistics, 39.02 acres (2 percent) for commercial purposes, 48.60 acres (3 percent) for public and semi-public use, 34.90 acres (2 percent) for residential purposes, 28.50 acres (2 percent) for services, 242.52 acres (15 percent) for green and water bodies, and 231.26 acres (15 percent) for roads and utilities.

The Minister further shared that existing industries near the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster include metal industry, engineering and fabrication, logistics, cotton and textiles, and food processing related to agriculture. This is a positive aspect for the IMC. The proposed IMC allocates 343.20 acres for aerospace and defence, 172 acres for food processing, 289.80 acres for engineering and fabrication, 92.20 acres for ready-made garments, 12.73 acres for common ready sheds, and 70 acres for a logistics park.

Divulging details on the current progress of the proposed Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, the Haryana Civil Aviation Minister said that the SHA-SSA draft has been approved by the state government. 100 percent of the land for the cluster has been acquired. NPG recommendations have been received.

He said that the master plan PDR and cost estimates have been prepared and can be notified at any time. Necessary approvals for electricity and water have been obtained from the state government. The Integrated Manufacturing Cluster is ready to give Hisar city a unique identity on the world map, shared Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta.
