Haryana CM Nayab Singh Singh Saini highlighted the rich cultural heritage of pottery, calling it a symbol of the creativity and craftsmanship of the Prajapati community. He affirmed the state government’s commitment to uplift every hardworking individual in Haryana by providing respect, empowerment, and growth opportunities.
Addressing the state-level Maharaja Daksha Prajapati Jayanti celebrations in Bhiwani, CM Nayab Singh paid floral tributes to Maharaja Daksha Prajapati. As part of the celebrations, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 19 developmental projects worth ₹234.38 crore—comprising 6 completed projects worth ₹87.42 crore and 13 new ones valued at ₹147 crore. Several important announcements were also made during the event.
Support for Prajapati Community
CM Nayab Singh distributed land rights letters to Prajapati community members of Bhiwani and announced that within 15 days, land would be allocated in 2,000 villages where panchayat land is available, ensuring access to soil for pottery making. Beneficiaries would also receive detailed land records.
Under the Haryana Rural Industrial Scheme, financial assistance will be extended to Prajapati entrepreneurs starting micro-enterprises. This includes a 15% capital subsidy on investment in buildings and machinery and an interest subsidy of 7% per annum, up to ₹8 lakh per year, for seven years.
Additionally, the CM Nayab Singh announced ₹1.29 crore for improving Prajapati Dharamshalas across Haryana. This amount includes personal and ministerial contributions.
₹21 Crore Announced for Bhiwani Assembly Constituency
He also unveiled development works worth ₹21 crore in the Bhiwani constituency. These include:

Renovation of sub-health centers

New infrastructure in Bhiwani grain market

Water supply pipeline for cattle

Beautification of water bodies (Johads)

Construction of community centers and Dharamshalas in various villages
Moreover, an additional ₹5 crore was allocated for city and rural development projects in Bhiwani.
Preserving Pottery as Cultural Heritage
CM Nayab Singh said that the art of crafting clay items is a vital part of India’s ancient civilization, evident from discoveries in archaeological sites like Banwali and Rakhigarhi. He credited the Prajapati community for preserving this legacy and encouraged them to modernize their craft using electric and solar-powered tools and expand into decorative items with international demand.

Reaffirming the government’s inclusive approach, the Chief Minister outlined welfare schemes for the BC-A category, to which the Prajapati community belongs. These include:

PWD Minister Ranbir Gangwa appreciated the Prajapati community’s skill and stated that the current government is providing them the recognition they deserve. Irrigation Minister Shruti Choudhary lauded the Chief Minister’s dedication and the significant development funds announced for the region.
