The Haryana government has announced a major relief for livestock farmers with the launch of a mobile veterinary van service, aimed at providing doorstep treatment for animals. Under this initiative, farmers can now access veterinary care at home by dialing the toll-free number 1962.
The new mobile veterinary van service will ensure that a fully equipped medical team reaches the farmer’s location within 30 minutes of receiving a call. The service will be available daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, with trained veterinary doctors and support staff deployed in each unit.
According to officials, the mobile veterinary van service has been specially designed to address emergency medical needs of animals, especially in rural and remote areas where veterinary facilities are often limited or delayed.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed that the mobile veterinary van service should be further strengthened and expanded in a phased manner to operate 24 hours a day.
