A delegation from the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), led by Chairman Sh. Alok Verma, met Governor Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya at the Raj Bhavan today and presented the 58th Annual Report for 2023-24, in accordance with Article 323 of the Constitution.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Governor on the report, which provides a comprehensive account of the Commission’s activities. They highlighted that in 2023-24, HPSC issued 50 advertisements for various posts, resulting in the recruitment of 1,831 candidates for Group A and B positions, with recommendations sent to the government. To facilitate this process, the Commission conducted 23 screening examinations, 25 subject knowledge tests, and 62 interviews over the year.

Secretary of the Commission, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, emphasized that HPSC primarily recruits candidates for Group A and B posts based on government requirements. Additionally, it advises the government on disciplinary proceedings under the Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 2016, and assists in framing and amending service rules for various departments. The report also covers details on the Commission’s history, recruitment procedures, financial expenditures, and cases handled under the RTI Act.

Deputy Secretary Sh. Satish Kumar, along with Commission members Smt. Mamta Yadav, Dr. Sonia Trikha, and Sh. Rajender Kumar, were also present during the meeting.
