- Government to set to upgrade the country’s only Integrated Bee keeping Center, Subhash Sudha

Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Subhash Sudha said that the government will upgrade the country’s only integrated bee keeping development center in Ramnagar, Kurukshetra. Under this project, the centre government will allocate a budget of Rs. 2 crore. This beekeeping center will not only enhance the income of beekeepers in Kurukshetra but also in the entire State.
Sh. Subhash Sudha said that the Integrated Bee keeping Development Center was established in Ramnagar, Kurukshetra in 2017. The primary objectives of this center include increasing honey productivity on a commercial scale through the use of modern technologies and equipment, enhancing the productivity of horticultural and agricultural crops through pollination, improving the extraction, storage, processing, testing, and packaging of honey, promoting its marketing at national and international levels, training a group of beekeepers to increase their income, and creating employment opportunities.
He said that the central government will now upgrade this beekeeping center with an expenditure of approximately Rs.2 crore. He said that this center has become a major hub for the honey trade. The construction of the honey trade center was approved in 2022 under the MIDH scheme at a cost of Rs 2.64 crore, with a storage capacity of 2500 metric tons. The upgrading of this center will benefit farmers in Haryana and neighbouring states.
