Haryana Becomes First State to Provide Tap Water to Every Household – Dr. Banwari Lal
Public Health Minister Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for 30 Roads and 4 New Tubewells in Kalka, worth around Rs. 80.90 crore
Chandigarh, July 25 –
Haryana’s Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, stated that due to the strenuous efforts the state government Haryana has become the first state in the country to provide tap water to every household under ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ scheme launched by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi.
Haryana’s Public Health Engineering Minister Dr. Banwari Lal presented a gift to the people of the Kalka constituency today by inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for development projects worth around Rs. 80.90 crore from both departments. These projects include the inauguration and foundation stone laying of 30 roads costing approximately Rs. 80 crore and the foundation stone laying for 4 new tubewells costing around Rs. 91.86 lakh.
In Kalka, the Haryana’s Public Health Minister inaugurated 11 roads with a total length of 71.24 Kms, costing Rs. 53.47 crore. Additionally, he laid the foundation stones for 19 roads with a total length of 47.63 Kms, costing Rs. 26 crore. He also laid the foundation stones for four tubewells in the villages of Pattan (costing Rs. 22.92 lakh), Ganeshpur Bhoria (costing Rs. 22.96 lakh), Nala Jabrot (costing Rs. 22.92 lakh), and Damdama (costing Rs. 23.06 lakh).
Dr. Banwari Lal remarked that today is a day of joy for the people of the Kalka constituency, as they have received development projects worth around Rs. 81 crore. He said that the initiation of these projects will provide better road connectivity and clean drinking water to the people of Kalka constituency.
The Haryana’s Public Health Minister emphasized that the present government has worked for the holistic development of all regions without any disparity during its nearly 10-year tenure, adhering to the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’. He mentioned that the government has implemented various schemes for the welfare of the people with a spirit of public service.
Dr. Banwari Lal pointed out that in the last 10 years, a network of roads has been laid across the state. New national highways, state highways, bypasses, and flyovers have been constructed, providing better connectivity and easing traffic. He highlighted that essential infrastructure such as water, electricity, healthcare, and connectivity is crucial for the development of any state. As a result of Haryana’s robust infrastructure, foreign companies are now interested in investing in the state. He added that following Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s commitment to good governance, the Haryana government has brought about systemic changes in the state. Today, beneficiaries are receiving the benefits of various schemes directly into their bank accounts in a transparent manner, which has curbed corruption and saved people from the hassle of making rounds of government offices.
