Holiday in the stock market: The commodity derivatives segment will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stock market holiday: In observance of Eid-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Id), the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will be closed on April 11. The day’s trading in derivatives, stocks, SLBs, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives  will all be closed.

Holiday in the stock market: What about the commodity derivatives segment?
The commodity derivatives sector will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the morning and open from 5 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. in the evening.

When will trading on the BSE and NSE restart after the stock market holiday?
On April 12, trading on the NSE and BSE will restart.

Which other holidays affect the stock market in 2024?
On May 1, Maharashtra Day, Bakri Id, June 17, Muharram, July 17, Independence Day, August 15, October 2, Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday, November 1, Diwali, Gurunanak Jayanti, November 15, and Christmas, December 25, the marketplaces will be closed.

April 10 stock market
Benchmark indices concluded the day of April 10 stronger, with the Nifty reaching a new all-time high. At the closing bell, the Nifty was up 111.00 points, or 0.49 percent, to 22,753.80, while the Sensex was up 354.45 points, or 0.47 percent, to 75,038.15, moving closer to its all-time high.

On the Nifty, the biggest losers were Cipla, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Life, Divis Labs, and SBI Life Insurance, while the top gainers were Coal India, BPCL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, and Hindalco Industries. Both the BSE SmallCap and MidCap indices saw a 0.5% increase.
