Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced that all candidates who have previously passed the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) will be eligible to apply for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in Haryana, regardless of the validity period of their certificates. This decision aligns with the Haryana government’s directive to accept STET/HTET certificates as valid for PGT recruitment purposes.

A spokesperson from the Haryana Public Service Commission shared that the government has decided to extend the validity of STET/HTET certificates for the purpose of applying for the PGT posts, even if the certificates had expired. This change will allow candidates with expired certificates to apply for the PGT positions advertised by the HPSC.

The Haryana Public Service Commission has recently advertised a total of 3,069 PGT posts in various subjects for both the Rest of Haryana and Mewat Cadre under Advertisement numbers 18/2024 to 37/2024. Candidates who have passed the STET/HTET exams so far may submit their applications online by August 14, 2024.

This decision is expected to benefit thousands of candidates who are aspiring to secure government teaching positions, providing them with an extended opportunity to apply for the advertised posts.
