On the occasion of Arun Khetarpal’s birth anniversary, the makers announced the completion of filming, expressing their commitment to telling a story that will remain close to the hearts of audiences. The official statement read, “On the birth anniversary of Arun Khetarpal, Ikkis, a story that will forever stay in our hearts, is wrapped. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present #Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, a true untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. In cinemas December 2025!”
In a recent conversation with PTI, director Sriram Raghavan shed light on the film’s narrative, describing Ikkis as a large-scale production featuring intense war sequences, including tank battles, while also focusing on the emotional and personal growth of the protagonist. “It is a bigger production; there will be tank battles and all those things that happen in a war film. But it is also a human story; it’s a drama, a coming-of-age kind of a thing,” said Raghavan.
Alongside Agastya Nanda, the film will feature notable actors such as Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, adding depth and experience to the cast. The movie aims to bring to life the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of one of India’s most celebrated war heroes, offering audiences a powerful blend of action and emotional storytelling.
