CM Bhajan Lal Sharma: Repair and maintenance work of link roads will be done by the Agricultural Marketing Board.
The state government under the leadership of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma is committed to double the income of farmers and make their lives prosperous and happy. In this direction,CM Bhajan Lal Sharmah as approved new construction works and electrification related schemes worth more than Rs 7 crore 23 lakh for the development of infrastructure in various agricultural produce market committees of the state.
Out of this, Rs 3 crore 53 lakh has been sanctioned for new construction works in sub-mandi yard Jakharawali of Agricultural Produce Market Committee Pilibanga (Hanumangarh), Rs 2 crore 16 lakh for new vegetable market yard in Agricultural Produce Market Jodhpur (F.S.), conversion of old sewer line and extension of office building in Bhadwasia and Rs 11 lakh 85 thousand for electrical works. Similarly, Rs.38.77 lakh has been sanctioned for service connection and street lights in the Mandi premises in Krishi Upaj Mandi Bikaner, Rs.52.80 lakh for wire facing around the allotted land for Mini Food Park and Rs. 50.09 lakh for new works in Krishi Upaj Mandi Kota (Anaj).
Along with this, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has also approved the proposal related to repair and maintenance of roads constructed by the Agriculture Marketing Department. Under this, the approach roads constructed by the Department of Agricultural Marketing will now be repaired and maintained by the Agricultural Marketing Board, and 5% of the gross savings of the Mandi Committees can be used for this.
