JD(U) leader Saurabh Shukla was returning from a wedding when he was shot and killed by unidentified miscreants close to Patna.
On Wednesday night, while returning from a wedding in Punpun, near Patna, an unidentified man shot and killed a leader of Janata Dal United. According to a police official, Saurabh Shukla was shot by unidentified miscreants while returning from a reception function where he had gone with his pals.
Saurabh Shukla arrived at a reception gathering accompanied by his pals. Unknown miscreants shot him while he was returning; he was rushed to the hospital where another individual, Munmun Kumar, also suffered injuries “Sub-Divisional Police Officer Masaurhi Kanhaiya Singh stated.
“The perpetrator of the crime will face harsh penalties… Every incidence of this nature is viewed as a challenge by our government and police. In Bihar, organized crime has completely disappeared. After the investigation is completed, the motivation behind this and its backstory will become clear,” Jha stated.
Akhilesh Prasad Singh, the president of the Bihar Congress, condemned the murder and stated, “The government needs to investigate the matter and find out the truth and whoever is the accused should be punished.”
Spokesman for the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Mrityunjay Tiwari, claimed that the government led by the NDA had instituted “criminal rule”.
