CM Nitish Kumar held an important meeting at ‘Sankalp’ on the security of the state’s borders in the context of ‘Operation Sindoor’. In this meeting, the officials informed that the leaves of all the employees associated with the administration, police and disaster management department have been cancelled and all the departments related to health and law and order have been put on alert.
CM Nitish Kumar directed that security be tightened in all the border districts. Increased surveillance on the movement of people and keeping an eye on any suspicious person or object. Security of all major institutions in these areas should be tightened and frequent patrolling should be ensured. The district magistrates and superintendents of police have been asked to maintain strict vigil in their respective areas.
CM Nitish directed strict action against those spreading rumours on social media and appealed to the public that there is no need to panic, the government is fully alert and prepared. He also said that the country is united against terrorism, and has full faith in the valour of the Indian Army and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
CM Nitish Kumar will hold another high-level review with senior officers of the border districts in Purnia on May 10.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, and Secretary to Chief Minister Anupam Kumar.
