India’s Best Selling Cars (2025): Tata Punch Falls 43%, But This Kia Model Skyrockets 75%!
Want to know about India’s Best Selling Cars? Despite an overall dip in the Indian passenger car market in June 2025, the Hyundai Creta has surged ahead to reclaim its position as the best-selling car of the month, overtaking the Maruti Dzire, which had dominated the previous month.

According to the latest retail data, only two models—the Hyundai Creta and Kia Carens—managed to record positive month-on-month (MoM) growth, while the rest of the top-selling models saw a decline.
India’s Best Selling Cars in June 2025

Hyundai Creta (including Creta Electric and N-Line variants) led the market with 15,786 units sold, registering a 6% MoM growth, although it still showed a 3% year-on-year (YoY) decline compared to June 2024.

The Maruti Dzire followed closely with 15,484 units, experiencing a 14% drop from May, but a healthy 15% YoY growth, signaling strong demand in the compact sedan segment.

Maruti Brezza took third place with 14,507 units sold, down 7% MoM, yet up 10% YoY—highlighting its consistent popularity in the compact SUV space.
Sharp Declines and Market Trends
Several of India’s best selling cars experienced significant month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY) drops:

Tata Punch sales plunged 20% MoM and 43% YoY, down to 10,446 units, possibly due to supply constraints or shifting buyer preferences.

Maruti Baleno continued its downward trend with an alarming 40% YoY decline, managing only 8,966 units in June.

Maruti Eeco, Fronx, and Wagon R also posted double-digit MoM and YoY declines, reflecting the broader market slowdown.
