Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme: Director of Watershed Development and Soil Conservation Department and ex-officio Joint Secretary to Government, Muhammad Junaid reviewed the progress of all the projects of the department. This meeting was attended by all the project managers, additional directors and joint directors of the department.
The Director directed to prepare a time-table and work accordingly to ensure effective implementation and progress of works sanctioned under Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme- 2.0 (WDC) and Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan. Managers of projects whose progress was relatively slow were asked to speed up the work in line with the set targets.
In this context, the Chief Executive Officer of the concerned Zila Parishad, District Collectors and other departmental officers coordinated and emphasized on the approval of as many projects as possible and their early implementation.
Apart from this, instructions were given to work dedicatedly to fulfill its objectives in collaboration with public representatives and district administration to make the ongoing Jal Grahan Yatra a success in the state.
