The third day of the 7th Jan Aushadhi Diwas 2025 was celebrated with the active participation of Bal Mitras in 30 major cities across 30 states. Various activities were organized nationwide to raise awareness among the younger generation about the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). Through these initiatives, children learned about the benefits of high-quality generic medicines available at Jan Aushadhi Kendras. Additionally, they were provided with nutraceutical products like Poshan. The event concluded with the release of sky lanterns and balloons, symbolizing the spread of awareness and well-being.
Currently, over 15,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been established across all districts of the country. The government aims to expand this network to 25,000 Kendras by March 31, 2027 under the scheme.
Following the Prime Minister’s initiative, March 7 is observed annually as “Jan Aushadhi Diwas” to raise awareness about the scheme and encourage the use of generic medicines. Like previous years, a week-long series of events has been scheduled across various locations nationwide from March 1 to March 7, 2025.
