As part of the Junagadh Mahngai Protest, AAP MLA Gopal Italia arrived at the Collector’s office in a bullock cart and camel cart, symbolically representing rural hardship and the crisis faced by the farming community. He was accompanied by Saurashtra zone president Rajubhai Borkhatariya during the demonstration.

During the Junagadh Mahngai Protest, the delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the district Collector, demanding immediate intervention in rising prices of petrol, diesel, milk, gas, and fertilizers. The leaders alleged that farmers were being deprived of diesel supply while irregular distribution and hoarding were worsening the crisis.
Speaking during the Junagadh Mahngai Protest, Gopal Italia claimed that farmers are unable to access diesel during the crucial sowing season, while alleged favoritism is being shown in distribution. He demanded strict monitoring of fuel supply chains, reduction in VAT and cess on fuel, and immediate action against hoarding.
The Junagadh Mahngai Protest also called for the establishment of a dedicated helpline number to report diesel shortages and black marketing. Italia stated that the lack of diesel supply is severely affecting agricultural activities, transportation services, and industrial operations across Gujarat.
Reiterating concerns during the Junagadh Mahngai Protest, he said that inflation has become uncontrollable and ordinary citizens are struggling with rising costs of essential goods. He further warned that if the situation is not controlled, public hardship will increase significantly.
The protest concluded with a strong demand for policy intervention and fair fuel distribution mechanisms to ensure timely diesel availability for farmers. The Junagadh Mahngai Protest has now become a focal point of political discussion in Gujarat over inflation and rural distress.
