Supreme Court Justice Abhay S. Oka, who was the Chief Guest at the two-day Principal District and Sessions Judges Conference organized by the Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy, launched the advanced digital initiative ‘Tvarit’ (Transmission of Warrants, Summons, and Reports by Information Technology) and the ‘E-Jyoti Journal.’ The Tvarit system allows for online tracking of summons and warrants. Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in India to establish regulations for this initiative, setting a new standard for digital innovation in the judicial system.

During the conference, Justice Abhay S. Oka highlighted the crucial role of district courts within the judicial system. He encouraged district judges to focus on resolving long-pending cases and to explore innovative methods. The two-day conference, held in Jabalpur, was attended by the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice Shri Suresh Kumar Kait, Justice Shri Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, and other judges. Key attendees included all Principal District and Sessions Judges of the state, senior officials from the Registries, Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (MP SLSA), the State Judicial Academy, and other dignitaries.

The E-Jyoti Journal, a bi-monthly publication, will be available to the public on the Academy’s website, offering valuable insights to readers.

In his speech, Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Shri Suresh Kumar Kait emphasized the need to provide legal aid to underprivileged, marginalized, and needy litigants. He urged district court judges to motivate judicial officers in their districts by setting an example through exceptional performance and leadership. The conference underscored the judiciary’s commitment to innovation, improving efficiency, and maintaining the core values of justice and fairness.
