CM Vishnu Deo Sai rides a bike wearing helmet: Promoting a message of road safety
During the 36th National Road Safety Month being celebrated in the state on Thursday, CM Vishnu Deo Sai, while riding a bike wearing a helmet promoted a message to wear helmets and follow the rules of traffic rules.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai reached Rohinipuram Gol Chowk in the capital Raipur and participated in the bike rally. He appealed to two-wheeler drivers as well as four-wheeler drivers to follow traffic rules. During this, CM Vishnu Deo Sai also flagged off the grand bike rally by showing green flag. During the rally, voluntary organizations also made people aware about the benefits of following traffic rules through street plays.
On this occasion,CM Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the invaluable nature of human life, emphasizing that each person has important responsibilities toward their family and society. He pointed out that no one can replace us in the eyes of our loved ones, making it our duty to ensure the safety of ourselves and our family members. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of following traffic rules, including wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers and seat belts while driving cars.
Expressing concern over the annual loss of life in road accidents, he called it a tragedy for both the country and the state. He attributed many accidents to the disregard of traffic rules and urged everyone to drive within speed limits to maintain better control of their vehicles, thereby reducing the risk of accidents. He also advised against driving under the influence of intoxicants.
The Chief Minister urged the people of the state to follow traffic regulations, not only for their own safety but also to protect the lives of others and fulfill their family and societal responsibilities.
It is noteworthy that the 36th National Road Safety Month is being celebrated till 31 January 2025. Under this, Raipur Traffic Police is giving information to people about the rules necessary for safe driving. People are being informed about traffic rules by putting banners and posters on the theme of Road Safety-Life Saving in an interesting way.
Police and administration are also organizing various programs at different places on different days for this entire campaign. Participation of drivers, local citizens and parents of students is also being ensured in these programs. On this occasion, Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Lal Ummed Singh, senior officers of police and transport department and a large number of dignitaries were present.
