  • DGCA team inspects Maharaja Agrasen Airport facilities

Haryana Health and Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta said that Hisar Airport will soon receive its licence. Following this, the first flight to cities like Ayodhya etc. will commence. Hisar Airport will be developed according to the international standards.

Dr. Gupta shared this information today after inspecting the facilities at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar with the DGCA team.

It is noted that an airport licence is granted based on the inspection of documents and other technical aspects.

Dr. Gupta stated that an Integrated Marketing Cluster will be developed on approximately 3,000 acres of land near Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar. Out of this, about 1,300 acres will be used to establish a mega cargo port or dry port. This will give Maharaja Agrasen Airport a distinct identity in the international market.

The Civil Aviation Minister also said that a 30-year plan has been prepared for Hisar Airport. Apart from this construction is ongoing for Hisar Airport on 7,200 acres of land. Out of the three phases of airport work, two phases have been completed, he added.

The 10,000 feet runway, cat-eye lighting, ATC tower building, GSC area, link taxi, fuel room, and basic spit parameter road construction at Maharaja Agrasen Airport have been completed and the old terminal has been expanded to accommodate 150 people.
