In an emotional statement shared via Kapil Sharma’s official Instagram account, the comedian expressed heartbreak over the violence affecting what was meant to be a space of warmth, community, and joy. “We opened Kap’s Café with hope of bringing warmth, community and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking,” the statement read.

Kapil added, “We are processing the shock but we are not giving up. Thank you for your support. Your kind words, prayers and memories shared via DM mean more than you know. This café exists because of your belief in what we’re building together. Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Café remains a place of hope and friendship.”

Reports have also surfaced that a Khalistani terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack, though police investigations are ongoing.

Kapil Sharma and his team remain determined to overcome this setback and continue fostering a welcoming environment for their patrons.
