The screenshot, which appeared on Reddit, shows the official Simi Garewal YouTube channel liking a comment on a video from her episode with Jayalalithaa, posted eight years ago. The comment, originally posted two years back, read:
“SimiGarewal show was shut down to launch Coffee with Karan. Coffee with Karan is talking about who is sleeping with whom. It is such a loss for the new generation that they are missing out on such inspiring and in-depth conversations with icons.”
While it is unclear when Simi liked the comment, social media users quickly sparked debate over whether the rise of Koffee With Karan coincided with the closure of Rendezvous.
