Prem explained that he wrote the original lyrics in Kannada, while the Hindi translation was done by lyricist Raqueeb Alam. “I wasn’t aware of the wording that drew criticism because I am not fluent in Hindi. The original Kannada version had no issues,” he stated. Prem added, “I come from a village where everyday phrases like ‘neeche mat gira, uthao’ are common. It is part of Janapada, our folk speech.”
