Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal accuses BJP of misusing central agencies against Punjab government and claims recent CBI raids found nothing.
AAP Punjab chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has accused the BJP of allegedly using central investigative agencies to target the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Dhaliwal claimed that recent CBI raids conducted at multiple locations failed to recover any incriminating cash or material.
According to Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, the BJP should apologise to the people of Punjab for what he described as an attempt to harass the state’s elected Chief Minister. He alleged that the raids were intended to damage the image of the AAP government and create fear among its leaders and supporters.
Dhaliwal Questions CBI and ED Actions
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal alleged that agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) were being used as political tools against the Punjab government.
He claimed that despite searches being carried out at several locations, the investigating agency did not find any money that could substantiate the allegations being levelled against the AAP government.
Dhaliwal strongly criticised what he called pressure tactics and said the people of Punjab would not be intimidated by investigations or raids conducted by central agencies.

AAP Leader Says BJP Failed to Win Punjab’s Trust
The AAP leader also took aim at the BJP’s recent political activities in Punjab. He claimed that the party had not been able to generate the level of public support it expected through its programmes in the state.
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said Punjab’s political history showed that people of the state had consistently resisted attempts to exert pressure on them. He argued that political battles should be fought through public support rather than the alleged use of investigative agencies.
Farmers’ Protest Also Mentioned
During the press conference, Dhaliwal referred to the farmers’ agitation and said the people of Punjab had not forgotten the farmers who died during the protest.
Drawing an analogy from history, he cited the example of Porus resisting Alexander’s advance. Dhaliwal said the AAP would similarly stand firm against the BJP’s political challenge in Punjab and vowed that the party would counter its efforts in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
‘AAP Will Not Be Intimidated’
Strongly condemning the CBI raids, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the searches had, in his view, strengthened the AAP’s claim of transparency. He argued that the absence of any recovery of cash during the raids demonstrated that the allegations against the government lacked substance.
Dhaliwal maintained that the AAP would continue to support Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and would not be deterred by action involving the CBI or ED.
He said the party would continue to raise issues concerning Punjab and remain connected with the people despite what he described as pressure from central agencies.
With the political contest in Punjab already beginning to take shape ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal’s remarks signal that the AAP intends to make the alleged use of central agencies a key political issue in the state.
