Chief spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has shared important updates regarding the ongoing state-level crackdowns against organized crime and drug trafficking in Punjab.
Dhaliwal provided detailed statistics on the 164th day of the statewide anti-gangster campaign and the 489th day of the “War Against Drugs” initiative, highlighting the sustained efforts of the government and law enforcement agencies.
According to him, both major campaigns are now moving towards their concluding phase, with intensified actions being carried out against criminal networks and drug traffickers across the state.
Strong Action Against Organized Crime
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal stated that the Punjab government, under its ongoing law-and-order reforms, has significantly strengthened its action against gangster networks. He said coordinated operations by the police have weakened several organized crime groups and disrupted their illegal activities.
He emphasized that the crackdown has entered a decisive stage, where strategic enforcement actions are being undertaken to dismantle remaining criminal infrastructure.

Highlighting the progress of the anti-drug campaign, Dhaliwal said that the “War Against Drugs” initiative has now reached its 489th day. He noted that continuous raids, arrests, and recoveries of narcotics have been made across different districts of Punjab.
He added that the government’s objective is not only to arrest drug traffickers but also to completely eliminate the supply chains and networks fueling the drug trade in the state.
