Ranveer Singh Action File Against AI-Generated Deepfake
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is well-known for enthralling fans on and off screen, was recently involved in a new digital crime. Recently, a deepfake film purporting to depict the actor discussing politics while on a recent trip to Varanasi was created using artificial intelligence (AI). Though the images seemed real, the soundtrack included a Ranveer voice clone powered by artificial intelligence.
Recently, it was confirmed by Ranveer Singh’s official spokesman that an official police complaint had been made and that a FIR had been submitted to the Cyber Crime Cell for additional investigation. “Yes, we have filed the police complaint and a FIR has been lodged against the handle that was promoting the AI-generated deepfake video of Mr. Ranveer Singh,” the official said, offering clarification on the circumstances.

Prior to this, Ranveer warned his fans on social media to be wary of deepfakes.
Police Files FIR After Deepfake Video of Aamir Khan Surfaces
Aamir Khan was shown backing a political party in a deepfake video that went viral on social media, with Ranveer. Mumbai police filed a formal complaint after seeing the video. Khan’s office filed a formal complaint at the Khar Police station, citing several laws of the Information Technology Act in addition to pertinent parts of the Indian Penal Code, such as 419 (impersonation) and 420 (cheating).
The Aamir Khan spokesperson referred to the video as “false” and issued the following statement: “We would like to make it clear that Mr. Aamir Khan has never supported any political party in his 35-year career. For numerous previous elections, he has committed his efforts to increasing awareness through Election Commission public awareness initiatives.
