Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment of Rs 360 crore will bring a 368-bed multi-speciality hospital to Ludhiana, boosting Punjab’s healthcare infrastructure and medical services.
Punjab is steadily strengthening its position as a major healthcare destination in North India. In a significant development, Sanjeev Arora announced that Livasa Hospitals will invest Rs 360 crore to establish a new multi-speciality hospital in Ludhiana.
The Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment marks a major step toward expanding the state’s advanced healthcare infrastructure and improving access to specialized medical services for residents across Punjab.
368-Bed Multi-Speciality Hospital Coming Up
The upcoming hospital will be developed as a 368-bed multi-speciality tertiary care facility. The project is being executed through a long-term agreement between Livasa Hospitals and Primewalk Infra Private Limited.
The hospital is being constructed at Sherpur Chowk on the National Highway, ensuring easy connectivity for patients from Ludhiana and surrounding districts. The facility is currently under construction and will become operational in phases over the next 18 months.
According to officials, the Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment will significantly enhance the availability of advanced medical services in the region.
Major Healthcare Infrastructure Project
The hospital will be developed on more than 9,500 square yards of freehold land with a built-up area exceeding 2.3 lakh square feet. The total project cost stands at Rs 360 crore, including land contribution, while the Livasa Group will directly invest around Rs 235 crore.
The project also has backing from India Resurgence Fund, a joint venture between Piramal Group and Bain Capital.
Minister Sanjeev Arora stated that the Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment demonstrates strong institutional confidence in Punjab’s healthcare sector and economic potential.
Expanding Livasa’s Healthcare Network in Punjab
Livasa Hospitals already operates a strong healthcare network across Punjab with hospitals in Mohali, Amritsar, Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur, and Khanna.
With the new Ludhiana project, the hospital network aims to increase its total capacity to nearly 2,000 beds across the state. Experts believe the Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment will further strengthen Punjab’s advanced healthcare ecosystem.
Advanced Medical Services and Technology
Speaking about the healthcare capabilities, Anurag Yadav said the hospital network already offers technology-driven tertiary and quaternary care across more than 38 medical specialities.

Currently, Livasa operates:
- 800+ hospital beds
- 250+ senior consultants
- 280 ICU beds
- 20 modular operation theatres
- 6 advanced cath labs
The network also provides specialized treatments including cardiology and cardiac surgery, oncology and advanced cancer care, neurology and neurosurgery, robotic orthopaedic surgeries, gastroenterology, kidney transplants, and 24×7 emergency and critical care services.
Better Healthcare Access and Job Creation
According to Minister Sanjeev Arora, the Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment will significantly improve healthcare access for residents in Punjab. Patients who previously traveled to New Delhi and other metro cities for advanced treatments will soon be able to receive similar care closer to home.
The project will also create hundreds of skilled and semi-skilled employment opportunities for young professionals in the healthcare sector.
Punjab Moving Toward a Medical Hub
The Punjab Government is actively promoting investments in modern medical infrastructure to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem in the state. Minister Arora emphasized that projects like the Livasa Hospitals Ludhiana investment will help position Punjab as a regional hub for advanced healthcare services in North India.
He added that the government remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve healthcare quality, attract private investment, and boost economic growth through the expansion of the medical sector.
