‘Sexuality keeps changing… I don’t want sex with anyone anymore,’ says Akanksha during a conversation with Varun Yadav
Television actor Akanksha Chamola has made yet another personal revelation on Lock Upp 2. Days after opening up about being bisexual before her marriage to actor Gaurav Khanna, Akanksha has now said that she identifies as asexual.
The revelation came during a conversation with fellow contestant Varun Yadav inside the Lock Upp jail. Speaking about relationships after announcing her divorce from Gaurav Khanna on the show, Akanksha Chamola admitted that she no longer feels the desire to be in a physical relationship.
Varun asked her if she planned to marry again after her divorce. Responding to the question, Akanksha said she has developed a fear of marriage.
“Mere ko darr baith gaya hai. Mujhe shaadi se darr lagta hai,” she said.
When Varun further asked whether she would remain single for life, Akanksha replied that she currently has no interest in getting into another relationship. She then spoke about how her understanding of her sexuality has changed over time.
“Sexuality keeps changing. Pehle main bisexual thi. Ab main asexual ho gayi hoon,” Akanksha Chamola said.
Explaining what she meant, the actor added, “Mujhe kisi se sex nahi chahiye. Na ladkon ke saath, na ladkiyon ke saath. Mujhe kisi ke saath bhi physical relationship nahi chahiye.”
Akanksha further said that her changing perspective has come after the experiences she has had in her personal life. She added that, at present, she does not feel the need to seek either a romantic or physical relationship.
Her latest confession comes just days after she publicly announced on Lock Upp 2 that she and Gaurav Khanna are heading for a divorce after being married for nearly a decade.

A few days later, Akanksha made another headline-grabbing confession after fellow contestant Shreya Kalra revealed one of her secrets during the show’s ‘Judgement Day’ segment. Confirming the revelation, Akanksha admitted that she was bisexual before marrying Gaurav Khanna.
“Main shaadi se pehle bisexual thi. Mere relations rahe hain kuch ladkiyon ke saath. Bahut zyada intimate relations nahi rahe, but I have been in relationships with a few females,” she had said.
She had also explained why she always felt more comfortable around women.
“Mujhe ladkiyan pasand hain. Main admire karti hoon. Main attract hoti hoon unki taraf. I think mera woh safe space hai. It’s a very male-dominated world, toh hamesha mummy aur behnon ki taraf jaate hain. I love that feminine energy. I thrive on it,” Akanksha had shared.
Later on the show, Gaurav Khanna also addressed Akanksha’s revelation and said he had always known about her sexuality. According to Akanksha, the actor accepted her without judgment.
“He was very open-minded. He understood my feelings and everything, and he accepted me graciously,” she had said while speaking about Gaurav’s reaction.
Now, in the latest episode, Akanksha says her feelings have changed once again. Speaking to Varun Yadav, she maintained that she currently identifies as asexual and no longer wishes to have a physical relationship with either men or women.
