Lok Sabha Election 2024: On Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, expressed confidence that talks about seat-sharing within the opposition’s INDIA bloc would go well. He also emphasized that the disagreement that had existed between his party and the Congress during the Madhya Pradesh polls had been resolved.
Yadav told reporters at a private meeting that his party would hold discussions with the Congress over seat sharing later in the day. “Today, Congress and SP are having talks over who will run for how many seats in the INDIA alliance. I’m sure there will be appropriate seat sharing. Yadav was quoted by news agency PTI as stating, “The Samajwadi Party, Congress, and our allies together will defeat the BJP in Uttar Pradesh.”
In response to questions concerning the SP and Congress’s prior inability to come to a seat-sharing arrangement prior to the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections last year, he wrote it off as history. “That has concluded. Since it is outdated, we shouldn’t talk about it. Yadav confirmed, “We are looking ahead and going forward. He expressed hope that the Samajwadi Party would play a significant role and become a powerhouse in the state, similar to its position in Uttar Pradesh, despite the surprise results in Madhya Pradesh, where the BJP held control.
Lok Sabha Election 2024: In response to a question concerning his feelings toward BSP president Mayawati, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh told PTI, “I am not angry with any person.” Reiterating the socialist doctrine, he stressed that genuine “Ram Rajya” required respect for the “PDA” (Pichhda, Dalit, Adivasi, and Alpsankhyak, which are the lower classes, Dalits, tribals, and minority populations).
“Only until the PDA people are respected will the actual ‘Ram Rajya’ come to pass. “They should be made illiterate and equitable,” he said.
Yadav stated, “The day is good,” in reference to his position on the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple at Ayodhya on January 22. We anticipate that individuals promoting it ought to consider what a Ram Rajya is. For us, a Ram Rajya is one that follows the Constitution.”
