As part of the third phase of *Sushasan Tihar*, CM Vishnu Deo Sai made a surprise visit today to Karigaon village in Sakti district. He convened a traditional *chaupal* beneath a Peepal tree, seated on a cot, and engaged directly with the people of the village to understand the on-ground implementation of government schemes. He patiently took note of their grievances, demands, and suggestions.
During the chaupal, Chief Minister Shri Sai made several key announcements. Responding to public demand, he announced the beautification of the Noni Maiya Dai Temple. He also directed the local patwari to be present in the village once a week to resolve revenue-related issues. Furthermore, he declared the construction of a new Gram Panchayat Bhawan.
Highlighting the commitment to grassroots governance, Shri Sai said, “In the third phase of *Sushasan Tihar*, the entire government machinery is present in the villages. The Chief Secretary and senior officials are accompanying me as we go from village to village, ensuring that the benefits of schemes guaranteed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi reach every citizen.”
Chief Minister Shri Sai reviewed the implementation of key schemes such as the *Mahtari Vandan Yojana*, *Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana*, *Krishak Unnati Yojana*, *Public Distribution System (PDS)*, and *Ayushman Bharat Yojana*. He emphasised that under the Ayushman Card Scheme, treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to protect rural families the burden of medical expenses.
Shri Sai also inquired about the functioning of the Anganbadi centre and the village school, and inspected the facilities being provided to children. Expressing concern over the declining groundwater levels, he advised farmers to adopt crops that yield more with less water.
Addressing a complaint regarding land near the village pond, Chief Minister gave instructions to the Collector to conduct immediate measurement and resolve the issue promptly. During the interaction, he also received several written applications from the villagers.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, and Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand accompanied him on the visit. The Chief Minister’s sudden arrival sparked joy and enthusiasm among the villagers. Sarpanch Kanchan Madhukar and a large number of local residents also participated in the gathering.
