Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj to inspect preparations for the upcoming Magh Mela and performed Ganga Poojan at Sangam.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Saturday, November 22, for a one-day official tour to inspect preparations for the upcoming Magh Mela, which is scheduled to begin on January 3. The Chief Minister also participated in several ceremonial events during his visit. Authorities have ensured all security and administrative arrangements for the visit.
Details of the CM’s Schedule
According to official sources, CM Yogi Adityanath spent approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes in the city. He arrived at the Police Line helipad at 10:00 AM. Following this, from 10:05 AM to 10:20 AM, he attended a ceremonial program at a hotel in Civil Lines. At 10:25 AM, he visited the residence of BJP MLA Harshvardhan Bajpai in Rambagh for the Pran Pratishtha (installation) ceremony of Lord Hanuman’s idol. The Chief Minister then proceeded to Sangam Noz at 10:50 AM.

Ganga Poojan and Inspection
At Sangam, CM Yogi Adityanath performed Ganga Poojan to pray for the smooth and safe conduct of the Magh Mela. He also inspected the mela area to review preparations. After completing the rituals, he visited the Bada Hanuman Temple at 11:25 AM to offer prayers and participate in Aarti. Following this, the Chief Minister went to the Prayagraj Mela Authority office at 11:45 AM to assess the ongoing arrangements. By 12:20 PM, he departed for Bamrauli helipad and then flew to Udaipur at 12:40 PM.
Special Arrangements for Ganga Poojan
During the Ganga Poojan, priest Deepu Mishra conducted the rituals. Special arrangements included the use of a silver Kalash (holy vessel) for performing the sacred Abhishek (ritual bath) at the Triveni Sangam. CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that his prayers are always for the welfare and prosperity of the state and the nation, reflecting his commitment to public service and spiritual values.
