Madhya Pradesh introduces a new intra-state aviation service with a 50% price reduction for the first 30 days in an effort to increase tourism.
‘PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Seva’ is a new intra-state aviation service that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated on Thursday. Its inaugural flight was from Bhopal to Jabalpur. In addition, he opened a ticket counter and provided the passengers boarding cards.
This will enable air travel between the Madhya Pradesh cities of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Rewa, Khajuraho, and Singrauli, according to officials. They added that a fifty percent fare discount has been offered for thirty days in order to improve the aviation service.
The airline would be run by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB). According to an official announcement, it is operated under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement with M/s Jet Serv Aviation Private Limited (Flyola).
Some flyers claim that after a 30-day 50% discount, the intrastate service’s ticket will just slightly exceed the Vande Bharat Express train’s tariff. They said that taking the air service from Bhopal to Indore will just take 55 minutes.
Sheo Shankar Shukla, managing director of MPTB, told “We are going to expand the service based on the response.” The aircraft being used are currently twin-engine, six-seaters. In order to grow the service, if the answer is positive, we’ll move on to 11-seater, 20-seater, and so on,” he continued.
“These aircraft satisfy international requirements and are quite safe. We’re going to offer the greatest, most consistent service at cost-effective rates,” Shukla declared.
