The XUV400 is currently the only model in Mahindra’s EV range in India. The next product on the list is the BE.05 SUV, which will go on sale in October 2025.
Mahindra & Mahindra has filed multiple trademark applications for the names the company plans to use for its upcoming electric SUVs. The all-new compact electric and EV SUV models XUV700, XUV500 and XUV300 will be launched under the brand names XUV 7XO, XUV 5XO, XUV 3XO and XUV 1XO.
Mahindra Trademarks: The automaker is expected to unveil the first electric car of the future in December this year. For those who don’t know, the XUV400 is currently the only model in Mahindra’s EV lineup in India. The next product is the BE.05 SUV, which is expected to go on sale in October next year.
Upcoming Mahindra EV Range
The popular INGLO platform is used to create each model. The batteries used in large SUVs have a capacity of 60-80 kWh. The XUV 3XO and 1XO are electric-only, but the XUV 7XO and 5XO are available with single-motor and dual-motor all-wheel drive.
Mahindra Trademarks: The XUV.e9 test car was recently spotted on Indian roads with a triple dashboard. This new three-display instrument cluster is available on the XUV 7XO and 5XO models. The infotainment system of the XUV 3XO and X1O, on the other hand, can be touchscreen. Larger SUVs are likely to get more safety features and connectivity options.
Mahindra Trademarks: The XUV 1XO has a range of 200-250 km, while the XUV 7XO, 5XO and XUV 3XO boast a range of 400-450 km. In particular, it is expected that the names XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 previously assigned to the models will be replaced by their new brand names. The XUV 7XO and 5XO add additional functions to the ADAS package. Some key ADAS features such as blind spot detection, traffic light detection and driver fatigue detection are also available on the XUV 3XO and 1XO models.
Mahindra sales data: February 2024
Mahindra Trademarks: Earlier this month, Mahindra announced its sales figures for the month of February. Last month, automakers sold 72,923 vehicles, a 24 percent increase from a year earlier when foreign exports are included.
The brand’s commercial vehicle segment sold 42,401 vehicles in India this year, up 40 percent year-on-year. A total of 42,941 units were sold, including exports. XUV700, Thar, Bolero and Scorpio N were among the top Mahindra models in Mahindra Performance. Additionally, the company’s sales increased 31 percent to 4.19 million units from April 2023 to February 2024, compared to 3.24 million vehicles delivered in the same period last year.

Talking about the sales performance of this brand last month, he said: “We sold a total of 42,401 SUVs in February, with a growth of 40% and 72,923 total vehicles, 24 per cent growth over last year. To make some of our SUVs more accessible to consumers, we launched the Scorpio N Z8S and Thar Earth Edition this month. ”
