Recently, a LinkedIn user named Ömer Öztok made headlines by sharing his unusual attempt to apply for the CEO role at OpenAI. In a candid LinkedIn post, Öztok revealed that he had emailed OpenAI to throw his hat in the ring for the company’s top job.
“I shot my shot. This time, for something bigger: CEO of OpenAI,” he wrote. Öztok’s bold proposal included radical ideas such as replacing the entire C-suite leadership with ChatGPT agents and recruiting the entire AI team from Meta, the social media giant.
However, these unconventional suggestions reportedly raised concerns among OpenAI’s leadership. Öztok himself acknowledged the pushback, noting that his vision for the company might not have aligned with the existing team.
