Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia has criticized the central government over its foreign policy approach, particularly in relation to the deaths of three Indian citizens in an international incident.
He alleged that during discussions with the leadership of the concerned country, the issue involving Indian nationals was not adequately raised, which he termed a serious lapse in diplomatic responsibility.
Concerns Over Safety of Indian Citizens Abroad
Manish Sisodia said that protecting the lives and interests of Indian citizens abroad should be the government’s top priority.
He questioned why sensitive issues related to Indian nationals are not clearly addressed during official foreign visits and high-level meetings.

According to him, any negligence in such matters is unacceptable and raises concerns about the effectiveness of foreign policy decisions.

The AAP leader also commented on journalists’ questions regarding the issue, stating that satisfactory answers were not provided.
He alleged that instead of addressing a serious concern with clarity, attempts were made to avoid direct responses.
Demand for Transparency and Accountability
Manish Sisodia emphasized that the government must ensure transparency in matters related to Indian citizens living abroad.
He stated that families of the deceased deserve justice and the public has the right to know what steps are being taken to protect Indian nationals overseas.
