Minister Aarti Singh Rao : State Government Takes Significant Steps in the Health Sector Within 100 Days
Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao emphasized the state government’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable healthcare. She highlighted that several crucial health sector decisions have been implemented in the last 100 days.
Minister Aarti Singh Rao announced the removal of the 18-year age limit for pensions granted to individuals with hemophilia and thalassemia. Eligible individuals will now receive a monthly pension of ₹3,000, in addition to any other pensions they may already be receiving.
Additionally, Minister Aarti Singh Rao noted that the government launched free dialysis services for kidney patients on October 18, 2024. In just three months, nearly 20,000 individuals have benefited from this initiative, marking a significant advancement in healthcare accessibility.
Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao stated that the “100-day TB Eradication Campaign,” launched from Panchkula on December 7, is progressing swiftly, with the goal of making Haryana TB-free by December 2025. The government remains confident in achieving this target within the set timeframe.
Highlighting key healthcare infrastructure projects, she mentioned that a trauma center has been built in Narnaul at a cost of ₹6.57 crore, while a Primary Health Center (PHC) has been established in Bohatwas Ahir, Rewari, at a cost of ₹6.80 crore.
Additionally, she announced that ₹57 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of 83 sub-health centers and 22 block public health units. A 50-bed hospital has been completed in Saraswati Kheda Bhatt Majra village, Kurukshetra, at a cost of ₹19.76 crore. Moreover, the foundation stone has been laid for a 100-bed Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Assandh, Karnal district, with an estimated cost of ₹76.20 crore.
To strengthen medical education and hospital infrastructure, the minister revealed that Panchkula Civil Hospital will soon introduce the DNB degree program in Pathology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Hospital Administration.
