Minister Anil Vij : Concrete steps being taken to improve transport system in Haryana

Minister Anil Vij: Improving the transport system is our priority and concrete steps are being taken in this direction. This was stated by Haryana Transport, Energy and Labour Minister Anil Vij while talking to the media at his office in Chandigarh today after his Delhi visit. He shared his views on various topics related to transport reforms and road safety.

Minister Anil Vij said representatives from various states participated in the meeting held in Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Sh. Nitin Gadkari. In this meeting, issues of road accidents and transport reform were discussed in detail. He said the main reason behind 80 per cent of road accidents is human error, in which excessive fatigue of drivers is a big problem. He suggested that rest houses should be built on the roadsides, where drivers can rest and get food as well. Work is also being done to provide quality food in public transport in collaboration with Haryana Tourism. The minister said a study is being done to improve catering services on the line of Railways.

Regarding the meeting with All India Road Transporters, he said they have been instructed to stop overloading of vehicles.

On the construction of new roads and highways, Minister Anil Vij said a wide network of roads has been prepared in Haryana during the tenure of the present government. The new roads have improved the connectivity of the state, which has accelerated economic development.

Praising Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, he said India is progressing rapidly under his leadership. Sh. Narendra Modi has changed the direction of politics and started the politics of work. His resolve to make India a developed nation by 2047 is getting full support from the public.

Reacting to the upcoming elections in Delhi, he said the party has hoisted the victory flag in Haryana and the BJP will be victorious everywhere in the country. He said after Haryana, Maharashtra elections were held and the BJP won there as well, and now, the BJP will win in Delhi too.

He targeted the Aam Aadmi Party saying it was party based on lies and deceit. All the leaders of this party emerged from Anna Hazare’s movement but now, they are involved in corrupt practices. There was no agenda of forming a political party in that movement. The public knows everything and the party has no future in the Delhi elections, the minister added.
