Punjab’s Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur , distributed appointment letters to newly recruited staff members during a ceremony at Punjab Bhawan.
As part of the department’s ongoing recruitment efforts, appointments were made for 10 Anganwadi Supervisor positions, 6 Superintendent (Children Homes) posts, and 1 District Social Security Officer role. The Minister also highlighted that 97 Anganwadi Supervisor posts were recently filled, significantly strengthening the department’s capacity to deliver key welfare services.
Extending her congratulations to the newly appointed employees, Minister Baljit Kaur encouraged them to carry out their responsibilities with integrity, commitment, and compassion to ensure government schemes are implemented effectively and reach those in need. She emphasized the critical role field-level staff play in executing social security, women empowerment, and child welfare programs at the grassroots.

Reiterating the Punjab Government’s dedication to providing employment opportunities under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, she noted that over 54,000 young individuals have so far secured government jobs. She called upon the new recruits to serve as a vital bridge between government initiatives and beneficiaries, particularly women, children, and senior citizens.
The event was attended by senior department officials, including Special Chief Secretary Raji P. Shrivastava, Director Shena Aggarwal, Special Secretary Keshav Hingonia, Joint Secretary Anand Sagar Sharma, Additional Director Charanjit Singh, and Deputy Director Sukhdeep Singh. They congratulated the appointees and encouraged them to contribute meaningfully to public service.
