Minister Baljit Kaur : Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to Benefit 86,583 Students
Minister Baljit Kaur : The Punjab Government has allocated ₹55.45 crore as the state’s share for the 2024-25 financial year under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste (SC) students, benefiting 86,583 students.
Providing further insights, Minister Baljit Kaur, Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting SC students in their education. She emphasized that the scheme aims to assist economically disadvantaged students in completing their studies, with the remaining eligible students set to receive their scholarships soon.
Minister Baljit Kaur also highlighted the Punjab Government’s dedication, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to the welfare of all sections of society, particularly SC students.
She added that this financial assistance would contribute to improving the living standards of SC students. To ensure transparency and efficiency, the funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
