Punjab’s Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur, announced that nearly 2.25 lakh children across the state have received financial assistance.
Sharing further details, she stated that a total of ₹367.59 crore has been distributed to support destitute children in Punjab.
Minister Baljit Kaur also noted that the state government had earmarked ₹377.00 crore for the welfare of destitute children in the current financial year, out of which ₹367.59 crore has already been utilized for their benefit.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to Punjab’s progress under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, she highlighted that this financial aid plays a crucial role in ensuring the holistic development and well-being of destitute children.
Minister Baljit Kaur further urged department officials to raise awareness about these schemes so that more children can benefit from government initiatives.
