Finance Minister Cheema visited Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib to pay his last respects to Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji, head of the Rara Sahib Sampradaya, who passed away on Sunday.
During the visit, Minister Cheema offered a loyi (ceremonial cloth) on behalf of the Punjab Government to the mortal remains of Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji. Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura also joined him on the occasion.
Expressing grief, the Finance Minister said that Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji’s demise is an irreparable loss for the Sikh community. He highlighted that the Rara Sahib Sampradaya has long been engaged in spreading Sikhism, and Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji connected devotees globally with the Guru through kirtan and katha. He prayed for the departed soul’s eternal peace and place at the Almighty’s feet.
Later, Finance Minister Cheema and MLA Giaspura also participated in the ongoing 50th death anniversary observances of Sachkhand Vasi Dhan Dhan Baba Ishar Singh Ji, founder of Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib.
The final rites of Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji will be performed on August 27 at 3:00 PM in the car parking premises of Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib.
