Minister Gajendra Singh: Newly trained forest guards should do the work of nature conservation with full devotion
Minister Gajendra Singh: Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat participated as the chief guest in the 119th Forest Guard Training Passing Out Parade held on Friday at Rajasthan Police Training Centre, Mandore, Jodhpur. He inspected the parade of the passed out forest guards and took the salute of the parade. Also, he honoured the trainees who performed exceptionally well by giving them certificates and mementos.On this occasion, while congratulating the newly trained forest guards, the Union Minister said that they have been entrusted with the important responsibility of forest and wildlife conservation, which they have to fulfill with full devotion and responsibility.
Inspiration for forest conservation: Remembering Amrita Devi Bishnoi—
Union Minister Gajendra Singh said that it is a proud moment that all of you have received training on that sacred land where Smt. Amrita Devi Bishnoi sacrificed her life along with 363 people to protect the environment. Our culture has always worshipped water, forests, land and animals like gods, but with the passage of time due to materialism and slavery we distanced ourselves from these ideals.
India’s role in environmental protection—
Minister Gajendra Singh said that at present the whole world is facing an environmental crisis and India is also not untouched by it. He said that the solution to this crisis lies in the conservation of nature. Referring to the efforts made to promote forest conservation and tree plantation in the last 10 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he said that the Prime Minister’s “One Plant in the Name of Mother” campaign has increased the enthusiasm of the general public towards tree plantation.
491 forest guards completed the training—
On completion of 12 weeks of intensive training for 491 selected Forest Guards, Minister Gajendra Singh congratulated them for a new chapter in their lives and called the batch fortunate to have got the opportunity to train in a campus whose name is associated with the late Sultan Singh.
A new batch of 141 trainees selected under the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination-2022 recruitment is going to start from 7 January at RPTC Mandore Jodhpur. During the program, the 120th Forest Guard Basic Training Program was also inaugurated by the Chief Guest Minister Gajendra Singh.
During this, Deputy Forest Conservator and Course Director Mr. Amit Chauhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly trained forest guards. The training report was presented by Deputy Forest Conservator and Course Director Mr. Deepak Gupta.
Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh, Range IG Shri Vikas Kumar, District Collector Shri Gaurav Agarwal, Chief Forest Conservator Shri R.K. Jain and many other dignitaries were present in this function organized at Shri Sultan Singh Stadium.
