Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam launches cleanliness campaign in Palwal.
Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Sports, Law, and Legislative Affairs, Minister Gaurav Gautam, announced plans to transform Palwal into one of the country’s leading districts in cleanliness and beautification. On Monday, he launched a cleanliness drive from the Palwal bus stand.
Highlighting ongoing beautification efforts,Minister Gaurav Gautam shared that wall paintings are being created at key intersections and overbridges to enhance the city’s appeal. Actively participating in the campaign, he personally helped collect and dispose of garbage using tractor trolleys, promoting the importance of cleanliness. He also revealed that tricolor lights would soon be installed across the district.
To maintain hygiene, regular cleanliness drives are being conducted, and municipal council employees have been instructed to enhance sanitation efforts. The municipal council has been provided with 80 rickshaws, 10 tractor trolleys, and 2 JCB machines to support garbage collection. Additionally, the city now features attractive selfie points named ‘Hamara Palwal.’
Minister Gaurav Gautam praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide cleanliness initiative and reaffirmed Haryana’s dedication to the cause under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership.
Deputy Commissioner Harish Kumar Vashishth, Additional Deputy Commissioner Akhil Pilani, and other administrative officials were also present at the event.
