Resolving pension-related grievances remains a priority for the government. The Pension Adalats, initiated by DoPPW, provide a common platform for ministries, departments, CPAO, and banks to facilitate the on-the-spot resolution of long-pending issues, reducing the need for litigation. Introduced in September 2017, the initiative has successfully resolved 18,005 cases across 11 Adalats, achieving a success rate of over 71%.
The 12th Pension Adalat will focus on settling long-standing pension cases, with 180 cases from various ministries, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, CPAO, CBDT, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, and Ministry of Railways, set for discussion. The initiative aims to empower Central Government pensioners by ensuring prompt grievance redressal.
