Minister of Trinidad and Tobago met Chief Minister for bilateral trade

Minister of Attorney General and Legal Affairs, Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Ms. Renuka Sagram Singh Sooklal today met Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini at his residence. The meeting took place in continuation of a delegation sent by the State Government to Trinidad and Tobago in the last week of June, 2024 led by Sh. Kailash Bhagat, Chairman, Hafed in an effort to explore the business opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago and other Caribbean Countries.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini discussed various avenues where ties between business entities of Harana and Trinidad and Tobago can be strengthened. He also expressed that both the stakeholders can work in mutual cooperation. He also advised Chairman Hafed to look for opportunities where farmers of the State can be benefited by selling their produce to different countries through Hafed which is an Apex Cooperation Federation of the State.
It is interesting to note that a sizeable number of Indian Diasporas lives in Trinidad and Tobago. The State Government is keen to explore business potential for its entities globally. During the meeting, Hafed Chairman, Sh. Kailash Bhagat, Sh. Monish Behal, Industrialist from Oman and Dr. Arun Kumar Ahuja, GM, Hafed were present. Chairman, Hafed intimated that Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago is very serious in strengthening ties with Haryana and the visit of Ms. Renuka Sagram Singh Sooklal in response to the visit of Hafed’s delegation, shows their willingness and sincerity.
