Minister of State for Sports, Environment, Forest and Wildlife, Sh. Sanjay Singh said that the performance of Haryana’s athletes is getting better in national and international competitions day by day. This improvement is due to the successful sports policy led by Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

At the closing ceremony of the Khel Mahakumbh, held at the RBSM School campus in Bhondsi, Sports Minister, Sh. Sanjay Singh was felicitating the winning Kabaddi teams. He praised the sportsmanship of all players and said that sports are becoming a career for the youth. The field of sports has created new job opportunities for young people. The Haryana government has also established new sports academies, nurseries, and stadiums in every district. The government’s effort is to provide good sports facilities to children at the village level as well, he added.

In the women’s category of this state-level Kabaddi competition, Karnal’s team won by defeating Sonipat. The runner-up trophy went to Sonipat. The teams from Hisar and Jind jointly received the third prize. In the men’s category, the players from Charkhi Dadri performed excellently and won the state championship by defeating the Karnal team. Karnal received the second prize, while Sonipat and Rohtak jointly got the third prize. The Sports Minister congratulated the winners and expressed hope that the performance of other players will also improve in the future.
