Minister Sanjeev : To strengthen Punjab’s industrial sector under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann,
Industries and Power Minister Sanjeev Arora today launched the initiative “ Rising Punjab – From Suggestions to Solutions ”from Amritsar, the holy city of the Gurus. The programme aimed at gathering inputs from industrialists of Majha, including those from Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Batala, and Pathankot, to help improve the state’s industrial policy.
Welcoming dignitaries, the Minister announced that similar events will be organized across Punjab, with Amritsar hosting the first special session. He said the objective is to spread awareness about the state’s industry-friendly policies, encourage new investments, and establish direct dialogue between the government and industrialists. He expressed confidence that this initiative would pave the way for greater investments, employment generation, and overall prosperity in Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, Arora emphasized that he believes in action over words. He assured industrialists that their suggestions have been duly noted and necessary steps will be taken within days. Calling Amritsar the “gateway of Punjab” and a city of immense potential, he praised its hospitality sector and promised government support for its growth.
Referring to the five major notifications issued by the Punjab State Industries and Export Corporation, he said no other state government has offered schemes as progressive as those introduced by the Mann government. Investors, he added, have recognized Punjab’s proactive approach towards industrial growth.
