Punjab’s Industry and Commerce Minister Tarunpreet Singh , announced that since March 2022, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, Punjab has attracted investments worth ₹88,014 crore. He invited national and international industrialists to invest in the state, emphasizing that Punjab’s industry-friendly policies have successfully drawn global investors.
Minister Tarunpreet Singh revealed that Punjab has received 5,574 investment proposals since March 2022, with a projected investment of ₹88,014 crore and the potential to generate around 4,01,217 jobs.
Key projects secured under the current government include Tata Steel Limited (₹2,600 crore), Sanathan Polycot Pvt. Ltd. (₹1,600 crore), Ambuja Cements Limited (₹1,400 crore), Ruchira Papers Ltd (₹1,137 crore), Toppan Specialty Films Ltd. (₹787 crore), Nestlé India Ltd. (₹583 crore), Happy Forgings Limited (₹438 crore), Freudenberg Group (₹339 crore), Oaykay Metcorp Limited (₹309 crore), and Cargill India Private Limited (₹160 crore).
Minister Tarunpreet Singh encouraged more entrepreneurs to set up industries in Punjab, assuring them of full government support. He highlighted Punjab’s favorable, peaceful investment environment and reiterated the state’s commitment to industrial growth. The government has introduced industry-friendly policies, enabling small and medium enterprises to start operations with a simple affidavit, while completing necessary documentation within three years.
Additionally, Minister Tarunpreet Singh noted that Punjab’s “Invest Punjab” portal ranks first among 28 states in efficiency, with nearly 58,000 new small and medium enterprises registered—a record achievement.
