Minister Vipul Goel : Haryana Government takes a firm stance on Kejriwal’s remarks regarding water supply.
Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel, stated that the Haryana government has taken strong notice of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s comments regarding Delhi’s water supply. In response, the Haryana government has filed a case against Kejriwal in the Sonipat court under the Disaster Management Act.
Minister Vipul Goel made these remarks while speaking to journalists today.
Calling Kejriwal’s statement absurd and misleading, Minister Vipul Goel urged the Election Commission to take strict action against such unfounded claims. He accused Kejriwal of engaging in cheap politics by making baseless allegations against Haryana, prompting the state government to take legal steps.
The Revenue and Disaster Management Minister clarified that the water supplied to Delhi is the same water consumed by the President, Prime Minister, and Union Ministers. He accused Kejriwal of spreading unnecessary fear among both Delhi and Haryana’s citizens with his false statements.
He criticized the Delhi government for its complete failure to clean the Yamuna River, accusing Kejriwal of making baseless allegations against Haryana merely to protect his political image ahead of the elections. He stressed that the people of Haryana regard the Yamuna as sacred, and spreading false information is both an insult to Haryana and an attempt to mislead the people of Delhi.
Minister Vipul Goel stated that Arvind Kejriwal’s claim of preventing “poisonous water” from entering Delhi is unsubstantiated. He added that Kejriwal has a history of covering up his failures with false statements.
The minister further accused the Delhi government of failing to fulfill its promise to clean the Yamuna, pointing out that only 17 out of the 37 sewage treatment plants in Delhi are operational, highlighting the inefficiency and negligence of the Delhi government. He emphasized that this mismanagement is not only affecting the people of Delhi but also residents in Haryana’s Faridabad, Palwal, and Mewat districts.
