With a spirit of unity and patriotism, Manganese Ore (India) Limited (MOIL) enthusiastically marked the 76th Republic Day at its Balaghat mine. The celebrations began with the National Flag being hoisted by Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena, CMD, MOIL. He was joined by Shri Rakesh Tumane, Director (Finance); Shri M.M. Abdulla, Director (Production & Planning); Ms. Rashmi Singh, Director (Commercial); and Smt. Sushma Saxena, wife of Shri Ajit Saxena, as a special guest, along with other senior officials.
The event featured an impressive parade by the Guards and schoolchildren, with enthusiastic participation from employees’ families. A vibrant cultural program, involving over 500 schoolchildren and employees, showcased a captivating mix of patriotic and cultural performances.
In his address, Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena emphasized MOIL’s steadfast commitment to the principles of the Constitution and its significant contribution to the nation’s development.
To honor excellence, CMD Shri Saxena, accompanied by Smt. Sushma Saxena, presented awards to outstanding employees, top security personnel, and the best hospital management team. Winners of various competitions organized during the celebrations were also recognized. Additionally, new welfare schemes specifically for MOIL’s contract laborers were announced.
As part of the celebrations, a friendly cricket match between CMD XI and DF XI was held at the Dongri Buzurg mine, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and teamwork among MOIL employees. Smt. Sushma Saxena, the Chief Guest, awarded trophies to the winning teams.
